We're a comprehensive outfitting service that makes river exploration accessible to everyone—whether you're planning a quick afternoon escape or an all-day wilderness journey.
Our fleet features premium watercraft including solo kayaks, tandem kayaks, and canoes. Choose your adventure: a leisurely 2-hour paddle to get your feet wet, a half-day excursion (2-4 hours) perfect for picnicking and swimming, or commit to a full day of discovery. We welcome paddlers of every skill level—from first-timers to experienced river runners—and we're happy to accommodate families with children and even your four-legged friends.
What Makes Our River Special
Just three hours north of San Francisco, you'll discover a world removed from urban chaos. The Gualala River flows clear and gentle, perfect for peaceful paddling. During summer months, the water warms beautifully for swimming. Ancient redwood forests line the banks, creating a sanctuary filled with wildlife and natural wonder.
Every rental includes all necessary equipment plus beginner instruction from our knowledgeable team. Looking for something more structured? We also arrange guided tours with optional meal service for groups who want that extra touch.
When We're Open
Peak Season: From mid-June through Labor Day weekend, you'll find us at our Mill Bend launch site every day from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Paddlers starting by 4:00 PM can still enjoy our shorter 2-hour route.
Spring & Fall: Outside peak season, we operate by reservation. Simply reach out the day before you'd like to paddle, and we'll arrange to meet you at the town marker or directly at the river access point.
